I just got home from seeing Lily. 🙂 She’s so cute and little!

Unfortunately I’ve got the beginnings of what feels like a nasty cold coming on, so it was probably safer with me not holding her quite yet. I snapped a couple of pictures, though.

In the second one she started doing that a split-second before I took the picture, heh. 🙂

  1. aww. It’s always so pleasing to see a non-wrinkly and red baby. The hospital where I was had wave after wave of ugly potato babies, and it’s hard to ‘coo’ at them in return to their mothers ‘cooing’ at little Beevertron (Eva).

Dummies are such a friggen godsend. But they can cause some nipple-confusion issues. Not a problem at all if Sammi (iirc) is bottle feeding rather then boobing, though.

    1. Hahah. Aye, she was only two days old then too! Sammi asked to be discharged, as she hates hospitals and was really uncomfortable there. One of her kittens also had to be put down and she wanted to be there for it. She’s got a midwife coming around and doing check-ups though.

She tried boobing, but it didn’t work… she was saying the nipple was all dry and cracked and bleeding. :\

      1. Yeah, I went through that crap. The Lactation consultant had me on nipple shields and they totally helped (just about painfree, wooo).

But then I was hit with the infection and everything went downhill super fast. :\
