Wow.
I put my car in for its 100,000km service yesterday morning.
First off, I got a call about one o’clock yesterday afternoon saying they’d pulled the engine apart (they had to replace the timing belt), and found a bunch of stuff that was leaking, and would I like them to fix it. Told them yes.
Then Dad went down to pick it up at five, and they said they’d put the engine back together but there was still stuff leaking, so they’d have to pull it all apart again and find the leaks.
Dad went down again today to pick it up, got the bill… $942.10. 😮
hmmm i dont think you should have to foot the bill just coz they are incompetent….
I don’t think they’re incompetent. From what Dad was saying, it sounds like they replaced all the usual leaky bits, but whatever it was that was still leaking was unusual.

Nah, they’re an official Toyota service place, not some dodgy mechanic.
