I was up at Mum and Dad’s this evening and took some photos of the clouds as the sun was going down. I think they came out very well!
While we’re on the topic of photography, I’m getting a Canon Speedlite 580EX II external flash for Christmas! (No, my parents aren’t so well off that they’re paying for the whole thing… I’m putting some money in for it too ;)). I’ve been busy reading up on photography techniques and what all the different terms mean, so I’m excited to see the difference an external flash will make for my photos!
I’ve also added some more pics to the Lily album! These were all taken during kungfupolarbear‘s visit. Some of them are already in the various sets I put up on Flickr so I won’t include them there.
The last four are me getting arty with the “Night Snaphot” mode on my camera… it gives a long exposure time but also fires the flash. I really like how they came out!
I’ve finally uploaded the pics we took at the Botanical Gardens when kungfupolarbear was here!
And good lord the weather is miserable here… it’s blowing a gale and pissing down rain right now.
I currently have an epically large bowl of pasta at the moment, with the spicy tomato sauce kungfupolarbear made when she was here and topped off with a massive amount of cheese. OM NOM NOM.
I’m so exciting.

And man she had a late night today… she only went to sleep about fifteen minutes ago (it’s currently 11:35pm here for those of you not in Australia!). Apparently she didn’t sleep all day then had a two hour sleep from 5:30-7:30. Fingers crossed it means she’ll get a decent sleep anyway!
I went up to mum and dad’s today to wash my car, so it’s all fantastically shiny and clean now! I’m parking in the garage now too, so it’ll be interesting to see how long it stays clean for (previously I was parking outside).
I’ve also snapped a few more pics of Lily just now!
That first photo is such a cute shot, and I had to crop my ugly mug out of it because I blinked right when the flash when off and look like a complete tool. You can still my hair poking out over her forehead too, which annoys me!

I was up at mum and dad’s this afternoon with Lily, and the neighbours across the road were doing some gardening out the front. Lily saw them and we went to say hello, and she was quite delighted with the gardening gloves. I snapped some pics with my iPhone.
