I love the colours in general, but I’m fascinated by the tones in that first black-and-white shot. Did you slave for hours trying to tweak levels and curves in Photoshop, or was that just a photo that naturally happened to turn out like that when converted to greyscale?
It definitely wasn’t like that when it was converted straight to black and white. I basically just did some fiddling around in Aperture with mostly the levels (Aperture doesn’t have a curves tool). And added vignetting, of course. 😀
