Good lord.

We had the AppleCare Excellence Awards last week and I won a black 8GB iPod nano (which I’m giving to kungfupolarbear). I just had the call centre manager come over now and I’ve won ANOTHER iPod, this one a black 80GB classic, and JBL OnStage Micro speakers. Amusingly, this was for sales. I sold exactly ONE thing this entire quarter, and still managed to beat the rest of Tier 2. 😉

I rather wish they’d start giving out something other than iPods though. 😛

My god this is going to be a fucking awesome year for concerts. We have:

  • Lacuna Coil — 25th June, at the Enmore Theatre
  • Opeth — 6th September, at the Big Top
  • Meshuggah — 13th October, at the Roundhouse

And I’m seeing Soilwork tonight at the Manning Bar at Sydney Uni!

FUCKING MESHUGGAH! They haven’t come out here before ever!

I bought Grand Theft Auto 4 for my Xbox 360 on my break at work today.

Got home, and what did I end up doing for the last three hours? Playing co-op Marathon Durandal with neon2099. Hee.

Ahh, nostalgia. They did a bloody good job porting it, that’s for sure.

Lily turned one yesterday! That really has gone by waaaay too fast.

We had a bit of a do at Sammi’s parents’ place. A bunch of her relatives came (my relatives in the immediate area pretty much consist of mum, dad, my sister, and my grandma), Lily got lots of fun presents, and a good time was had by all. I snapped a few pics, I’ll upload them when I get home tonight.

On a totally different note, LACUNA COIL ARE TOURING AGAIN! And headlining this time! Tickets are on sale this Friday, and it’s June 26 at the Enmore. I cannot fucking WAIT.

This MacBook Air is one of the most impressive bits of technology I have ever used. Everything that I use my MacBook Pro for the MBA handles quite nicely. I bought the SuperDrive and Ethernet Adapter too, and installed Windows on it yesterday. Pretty much the only reason I even have Windows is for Dawn of War. It runs quite playably, admittedly at 1024×768 with all the graphics options down.

I pulled the MBP out last night to grab a couple of files off it, and good GOD it felt large and heavy! It’s crazy how my perceptions have changed already.

So I’m selling my MacBook Pro to my parents, since I have no need for it. That’ll give a very nice boost to my finances. And my sister will inherit the old 17″ PowerBook that my parents currently have, as she’s without a computer at all right now.

Woo!

So, I’ve finally gotten around to taking some photos of my new place!

My roommate’s room is just to the left of the bathroom (mine’s to the right). And those bars on the balcony are going to be gotten rid of, thankfully. 🙂

I’m not very good at writing about such things, so I’ll just say it flat out… kungfupolarbear and are I now a couple. 🙂

We’re just so ridiculously perfect for each other, it’s amazing. Yes, there’s the slight problem of living on two completely separate continents. 😛 But we’re working on that! The last two weeks have been awesome. It was quite a teary goodbye at the airport today, on both our parts. 🙁 But I’m staying positive, as we’re both committed to working things out.

Squee!

I’ve also uploaded the other two batches of photos to Flickr… Taronga Zoo and the Sydney Aquarium.
