Well, we were going to have an Xbox night at my friend’s place last night, so I lugged my Xbox and all it’s associated shit over…and no-one else turned up. Fuckers.
So we drank alcohol and played co-op Halo until 5 in the morning. 🙂

Woah.
We had an extra-long team meeting this morning, and there was the Q3 Contact Centre Excellence Awards handed out.
I got a certificate for Call Resolution, along with three other guys, then the call centre manager says, “And we’ve got an iPod Mini on order for you guys.”!! 😮
There were two other certificate types handed out…one for Best Agent Performance and the other for our Tier 2 guys. The Best Performance people are getting an Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse and a Bluetooth adapter, and the Tier 2s have an iSight coming.

Oh, I also got a nifty little clock from DCL (the recruitment agency I’m with).
Last night was good. 🙂
We went down to the pub, played a few games of pool, then headed back to my friend’s place and played 4-player Halo until 4:30 in the morning. 😀
Messing around with the Anime character generator thingy that darkjudicator was looking for:
And also for good measure, the one made with the Southpark Character Generator a while ago:
(I’m pretty sure I posted the Southpark one in my LJ, but I CFB checking. :D)
Mmmmmm, Friday afternoon…
LOL!
I’ve just finished setting up my AirPort Express and was testing the signal strength on mum’s laptop, out in the loungeroom…and I can see the neighbour’s wireless network! And it doesn’t have a password on it. 🙂 Barely any signal strength, it keeps dropping out, and doesn’t show up at all if you move away from the very corner of the loungeroom. But still… 🙂
Now that I think about it, that could have been why the signal strength to our AIrPort Extreme base station was bad…the two networks might be on the same channel and are interfering.
/me tests that theory.
UPDATE: Bingo! Next door’s network was indeed the problem. I changed the channel that the AIrPort Extreme connects on to 12 (from 10) and we’re consistently getting 2-3 bars of reception (out of 4 maximum).
WOO!
I went down to the Mall this morning and got my shiny new Sony-Ericsson T630, and my AirPort Express arrived this afternoon. 😀
Nifty. I’m going to get the Sony-Ericsson T630 instead of the T610. Apparently the screen is much nicer on the 630, for a start. Not to mention the 610 is still on back-order, and they’ve got the 630 at the store now. 🙂
Gonna grab it tomorrow morning. 😀
The only thing I hate about casserole: spending the next several hours digging bits of meat out from between your teeth.
